    Work on the 060 Decauville continue. The boiler will be removed from the frame at the end of the day. There are 2 steam engine in the workshop : the 060 Decauville and the 080 Franco-Belge actually on 10 years inspection.

    Work on the 060 Decauville n° 1652 has started. It is hope to have this engine in steam for 2006 spring to celebrate its 90th anniversary, the 90th anniversary of the Somme battle and the 35th anniversary of our railway. A big event not to be missed !

    Alice has leave the railway after more than one month at Froissy. She was replaced by another british visiting engine : an Hunslet diesel engine from Leighton Buzzard Railway, our twinned NG railway in UK. This engine will stay at Froissy during 2004 season and will be used during our end of september steam gala.

  • May 2004
    The 2004 season start on 1st May. The green brake van go back in service after some improvements. There is now a wheelchair compartment.
    But the event of this month is the arrival of 040 Hunslet "Alice" from Wales. She was on Stoomcentrum Maldegem railway during 1st May week-end and is now at Froissy for one month. This engine is usually on Bala Lake Railway in North Wales. This beautiful engine was really appreciated by our steam drivers and was of course used during our spring steam gala.

    The new point has been installed on the Dompierre side of Cappy station. The old one will be used for a new track on the loop. The crossing track is all new.

    A new point made with 30 kg/m rail was built at the workshop. It'll take place on Dompierre side of Cappy station loop. The loop track will be built with bigger rails and a security track will be built on Dompierre side.

    Wheels and axles boxes of our 080 Franco-Belge steam engine was removed for maintenance and repair of some adjustments in the motion. We want to have a mechanically "perfect" engine for next season then, during 2004/2005 winter, we "only" have to work on the boiler for its 10 years overhaul.
    The second brake-van coach is actually modified to be longer and to have a disabled compartment. A wheelchair ramp will be specially built for this coach.
